THE MINDS BEHIND THE GRIND.

Kirk Caballero - “OC Note”

Kirk is a polymorphic designer whose work moves fluidly across disciplines, refusing to be confined to a single medium or style. Rooted in curiosity and driven by a desire to challenge conventional thinking, he approaches design as an expansive practice that adapts to the needs of each idea. Whether working digitally or physically, his process is guided by storytelling, intention, and a strong sense of visual identity.

His creative range spans graphic design, mural painting, custom apparel, signage, filmmaking, and experimental visual projects, with each piece reflecting a balance between craft and concept. Kirk has worked with brands such as Nike and the Portland Timbers, along with dozens of locally owned businesses across Portland and Orange County including Deadstock Coffee, Kilo D'Cofi, and pFriem. Beyond client work, he currently serves on three nonprofit boards of directors, having been involved in these organizations since the age of 15. As a director, he has led multiple short films, commercials, and social media campaigns, continuing to build work that connects deeply with both culture and community.

At the core of his practice is a commitment to impact over output, using design as a tool to create opportunities, amplify voices, and build lasting relationships. His work often exists at the intersection of art, culture, and community, where projects are not only visually compelling but rooted in purpose. Whether collaborating with global brands or local organizations, Kirk brings the same level of care, intention, and vision, consistently pushing his work to evolve while staying grounded in the people it serves.

MANNY VILLAGRAN - “QUE

Que is a master of letters whose journey started on the streets of San Jose, California and continues today in the Pacific Northwest. Known throughout Portland for his bold, free-handed lettering tattoos, Que has built a reputation that’s been proven time and again with multiple first-place lettering awards over the years. His style was born from drawing characters and stylized letters on walls and sketchbooks, and that early obsession with form and flow eventually grew into a career that touches nearly every surface imaginable.

Over time, Que has taken every opportunity to push lettering further. From sign painting and hand drawn labels to large scale murals, airbrush, and intricate tattoos, his craft carries the same dedication no matter the medium.

Beyond the studio, he has also worked with Portland nonprofits like Cada Casa, NAYA, and Ascending Flow, teaching youth the fundamentals of lettering and painting and passing the culture forward.

Most recently, his work reached the global stage when he painted a live mural at Nike World Campus during their Mundialito employee tournament.

For Que, letters are more than a skill or a job; they’re a challenge ready to be faced head on. If there are letters involved, he wants in.
